Our FN Research online business survey (fieldwork 10-13th June) provides some interesting insights
Most NI workers would feel safe returning to their offices now, but the commute might be a barrier.
Whilst 65% of local workers feel it is safe to return to their office, only 16% would feel safe using public transport at peak times.
An overwhelming 70% suggest they would not feel safe on a peak time public transport commute at present.
Interesting findings, and an issue that local government and the business community may have to address before we have a significant return to office movement locally.
Where are workers more productive – at work or at home?
Nearly half (46%) of local workers feel they are equally productive in either location.
Interestingly however, 34% state they are more productive at home whereas only 19% said they are more productive at work.
Do workers want to work from home in the longer term
There is also lots of discussion about how much people want to work from home in the longer term.
- 13% wanted to work from home all the time
- 34% wanted to work from home ¾ of the time
- 22% wanted to work from home ½ of the time
- 25% wanted to work from home ¼ of the time
It would seem that now we have got used to WFH it is an issue that employers are going to have to address in the longer term.
